P4P Software

The P4P team is happy to provide our software here for free download in an effort to make the system useful to the Internet at large. All of the core P4P system components are available under the BSD License.

In addition to the core P4P components, we are integrating P4P with existing P2P software. Thus far, we have extended the XBT Tracker to utilize P4P for peer selection.

System Components

We have made available the following components:

  • Portal: Server configured with network information and run by ISPs.
  • Integration Library: Library for applications to query Portal Servers run by ISPs, as well as APIs for using P4P-guided peer selection.

Download Information

The easiest way to get started is to download and install pre-built packages. We provide packages for the following platforms:

  • Windows x86 - Integration Library only
  • Gentoo x86 and amd64
  • Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) i386 and amd64
  • Fedora 11 i386 and x86_64
